On January 17th, SMS had a lockdown drill. This past year lockdown drills have changed a lot. Instead of just hiding in the corner of your classroom, students have been taught to either run or try and defend ourselves. If your class tries to run, you would attempt to run to the church down the road. If you and your class try to defend yourselves, you should take tables to block the door, or use the belt trick to lock and pull the door shut. These new ways of protecting ourselves will make sure that we stay safe if an intruder ever enters the building!
