Teacher Interview

For the 2017-18 school year, Salisbury hired 3 new teachers to help educate all the students! The new teachers are Mr. Amato (6th), Mr. Ecker (7th), and Mrs. Nougeria (8th).

The first person that was interviewed was Mr. Amato in 6th Grade.

Interviewer: Where did you go to College?

Mr.Amato: I went to East Stroudsburg University and got my teaching degree there.

I: What did you hear about Salisbury that made you want to work here?

M.A: I used to work in Allentown, and one of the teachers that worked there used to work at Salisbury and they said pretty good things about Salisbury.

I: That brings me to my next question if you did, where did you work before Salisbury?

M.A: I worked in Allentown School district as a Life Skills teacher

I: What is your favorite part of Salisbury?

M.A: I enjoy being a part of the 6th-grade team and always having someone to turn to.

The second teacher interviewed was Mr. Ecker from 7th Grade.

Interviewer: Where did you go to college?

Mr. Ecker: I went to Ursinus College for my undergraduate degree. After I went to Villanova to get my teaching certification.

I: What did you hear about Salisbury that made you want to work here?

M.E: I had heard good things about the district from other people, and I had wanted to work with middle schoolers since I got my teaching certification.

I: If you did, where did you work before Salisbury?

M.E: From 2014-2017 I worked at a charter school and taught English.

I: What is your favorite part of Salisbury?

M.E: My favorite part about Salisbury is the people who work here. How nice and supportive they are. They really made the transition easy.

The third teacher interviewed was Mrs. Nogueira in the 8th grade.

Interviewer: Where did you go to college?

Mrs. Nogueira: I went to Penn State for my undergraduate and then went to DeSales University to finish my education before becoming a teacher.

I: What did you hear about Salisbury that attracted you to work here?

M.N: I grew up in the Lehigh Valley, and I had always heard people talking about how Salisbury is a great district because of the things they are doing with Technology and Education.

I: Did you work anywhere before coming to Salisbury?

M.N: Nope! Salisbury is my first teaching job!

I: What is your favorite part of Salisbury?

M.N: My favorite part is definitely the people. They are so nice and helpful.
