Imagine making a car that runs on a single balloon! Mr. Schweyer’s sixth grade science classes are trying to figure out how to make cars powered by only one 9 in. balloon, and only allowed to use recyclable materials! The students used materials such as water bottles, bottle caps, and cardboard.
2nd Character: What has multiple keys, but can’t open a single door? Character is 4th letter of answer.
Piano You could work alone or with a partner. You and your partner would be only provided with a straw and balloon. Mr. Schweyer measured 10 ft. in the hallway, for us to practice using the balloon cars. If the car manages to travel 6 ft. or more in a straight line, then it was a successful car. The cars are not only judged on how far they go, but also on how creative they are. 6th grade had a lot of fun creating balloon cars!
