Has your school ever taken you and your fellow peers on a trip to Philadelphia? SMS took the 6th grade classes to the Franklin Institute! The Franklin Institute is a science museum where you learn about the heart, brain, outdoors, etc. The sixth grade got the chance to enjoy going into a heart and learned different ways the brain worked. Another exhibit informed students about how plants and rocks have an affect on the Earth and how it would change without them. Also, students enjoyed learning about sports and speed. The last piece of entertainment 6th grade saw was an IMax movie called “Pandas”. 6th grade loved both the exhibits and the IMax movie, but most students appreciated seeing a movie in such a unique format. All in all 6th grade had an amazing time at the Franklin Institute!
